Q1. What are some different applications for your stained glass art?
Our stained glass panels are incredibly versatile and can be applied to the interior or exterior of your home in a variety of places. We produce stained glass creations for multiple applications, including:
Q6. What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept checks and cash. A reasonable deposit (usually 20%) is taken.
Q7. How do I measure my existing window, door, cabinet, etc. for the stained glass window or insert I will be purchasing?
Measurement is done by me on site. Odd shapes are templated.
Q8. How can a stained glass window be adapted within my existing window?
We do the installation or we can provide instructions if needed.
Q9. Can you make windows with odd shapes, such as octagons, arches, trapezoids, or ovals?
Yes, we can make almost any size or shape of window. In most cases all we would need is a template. This will be sufficient for us to create your window in an accurate manner.
Q10. Does your company stain its own glass?
Contrary to what many people think, there are no Stained Glass Studios that actually stain their own glass. The stained glass sheets are made in a factory then sold to stained glass artists to be used for their projects. There are over 1,000 different stained and clear textured glasses currently available on the market today, with more being made every day!
Q11. What is the process?
The process begins with the development of a design either provided by the client, or carefully developed by The Glass Crafter staff with input from the client. Samples of glass are available in a wide array of colors and textures. All of this can be done in the comfort of the client's home or office or at our studio. "Shop at Home" service is the hallmark of The Glass Crafter.
Once the design is finalized, the process begins by developing a series of patterns which are then used to produce the glass elements that will make up the finished window or glass piece.
The pattern's pieces are meticulously fitted together with the use of various metals held together with solder. The final unit is finished as needed and readied for installation. Care and cleaning instructions are reviewed with the client, and then there is nothing else to do but thoroughly enjoy your stained glass masterpiece created by The Glass Crafter!
